Will I ever gain weight in the SAME area I did liposuction on? I know I can gain weight just as easy?

just as easy as I would before the liposuctions, but my concern is about the area that I did the lipsuctions in. In intial consultation with the doctor he told me that I would gain weight in the same area. He explained that he will be able to remove aprox 80% of the fat cells, but if I ever gain weight, then the other 20% fat cells will expand and fill the void of the other cells and I would exprience the same weight gain in that area. That does not make sense to me, because why would someone do a liposuction to beging with if they will regain weight in the same area. I have no problem gaing weight in other areas, that is understandable, but in the same area? please advice. Thanks
