On Y & R how is the guy Malcom still employed?

The guy that plays Malcom(Darius MaCrary)is in a lot of trouble with beating his girlfriend up not once but twice! It's alleged that he beat his girl with a belt (Superhead) and choked her. How is it this guy is still working on that show, or even Charlie Sheen still on his show? These guys ault woman and nothing happens to them, I don't understand. I mean his costars have to know about his problem.
