Trouble with clarinet reeds?

So I have been playing clarinet for a little over 5 years now on Mitchell Lurie reeds and have never had a problem with them until now. I am playing 4.5 reeds, as Mitchell Lurie tends to be softer, but lately have had trouble with good reeds. In the box of 10 I can only find 2 that I can play on, and articulating on them is very difficult and sometimes makes me squeak. Any suggestions would be very helpful!!
