I took the SAT 8 times! Will I be penalized for it?

i dont think they invalidate your scores, but colleges don't look highly upon a student who took the SAT 8 times.. the average/ recommended number of times to take the SAT is 2-4, 4 being the maximum... This standard varies with schools, but the highly selective unniversities won't see your taking the SAT 8 times as a positive thing, even if you DID get an excellent score. Colleges don't like that you took the SAT so many times because by the 8th time, you basically know the entire test so well, it pretty much defeats the purpose. Good job on your 2340 though!
