Time outs for a 15 month old?

5 minutes is WAY too long. The rule is a minute for every year...so she's at about 1.5 minutes. The rule is supposed to kind of take into account their attention span. your wife is nuts...she is NOT too young for a TO. better to start early and nip things instead of letting the little issues turn into HUGE issues...stick to your guns but go for 1.5-2 minutes. Also, you can try a sort of rule chart with stickers (sell them at teacher stores or even Office Max) and give her a toy out of a grab bag at the end of the week...
